Team it up with cams and engine management, and you can start to make some serious power, to the tune of 200+ hp at the crank.

06 2.5i Power Loss and no highway acceleration. So my 06 2.5i with a 4EAT seems to have lost a fair amount of power. It has no low end torque and just barely maintains highway speed and will only accelerate if I downshift. Even then acceleration is extremely slow. My foot will be too the floor at 65 MPH in 3rd and the car just barely accelerates.
