3.6's aren't notorious for HG issues. GM will tell you 1 qt per 1k miles is acceptable, and while I would disagree with that, 1 qt per 5-10k miles is quite reasonable. Personally I wouldn't do a 10K oil change interval on a 3.6, as they ARE notorious for timing chain issues. I'd do 6-7k.
