Cape Banks Lighthouse is a lighthouse in the Australian state of South Australia located in the state's south-east on an unnamed headland in the gazetted locality of Carpenter Rocks about 2.5 kilometres (1.6 mi) north-west of the locality's town centre.. The siting of a lighthouse near Cape Banks was discussed as early as 1880, in conjunction with the rebuilding of the Cape Northumberland.

A scenic trail through south eastern South Australia, located about 35 kilometres south west from Mount Gambier. This out and back trail takes you from the parking area at the end of Hercules Street in Carpenter Rocks. From here you'll head alongside the Cape Banks Lighthouse Road all the way to the Cape Banks Lighthouse in Canunda National Park. Camping is available here if you're looking for.

Ocean beach is 100 metres from camping area and is safe for swimming when the swell is small. Good fishing beach. Access 2WD and 4WD. Suitable for tent, camper trailer, caravan. Facilities, long-drop toilet.

The Cape Lookout Lighthouse is not open for climbing (there is repair work to be done during the winter of 2021 and it will not re-open until 2023) but when it is open, there is a fee to climb it.

Approximately 40 kms south-west of Mt Gambier is Cape Banks Lighthouse. This heritage listed lighthouse was first used in 1883 and in 1928 was automated. It is also in the Canunda National Park. After leaving Carpenter Rocks, the mainly dirt road, Cape Banks Lighthouse Road, weaves through the scrublands and ends at the lighthouse.
