The BMW 740i is one of the E38 range of cars from BMW. The 4.4 litre engine is a naturally aspirated, double overhead camshaft, 8 cylinder unit that has an output of 282 bhp (286 PS/210 kW) of power at 5700 rpm, and maximum torque of 420 N·m (310 lb·ft/42.8 kgm) at 3900 rpm.
