The Renato Dall'Ara Stadium is the first in Italy built as a result of public initiative.. It was designed as a sports facility that included a six-lane tracks, two swimming pools and four tennis courts. The construction of the building originally known as the "Littoriale" began in 1925 and its appearance, inspired by Imperial Rome, was constructed in the Fascist style.
