So after much reading I thought I had settled on getting a MC Operator but it's still not quite how I would really want it, mainly just because I want some front strap checkering as well as color etc. Looking at the TRP though, it has everything I would want in a 1911 and I keep hearing great things about them.

I have the MC Operator, a standard TRP and a Pro and for the sake of this current discussion, I will only speak about the MC Operator. From the day I fired it, to now, 5k later, I have yet had one issue with it. It has been extremely accurate and reliable. Comfortable to shoot, and predictable when shooting.

The MC Operator has some hand fitting but not every part. The frame/slide fit on my MC Op is excellent and the bushing/barrel fit is also excellent. The TRP Op has MUCH more hand fitting and is tighter. Hickok45 had to use a bushing wrench to get it out which is not something I see needed very often.

I talked to three reps at the Springfield booth, each one individually and they all said that the MC Operator (Loaded) Had more care in the fitting, smoothness and that the Mc Operator would groupe 2-1/2" compared to 3-1/2" groupes on the other Loaded models.
