TechRadar Verdict With the X100F, Fujifilm has pretty much made the perfect enthusiast compact camera. While on the face if it little appears to have changed, the X100F heralds the biggest.

Verdict: The X100V's new lens delivers comparable peak sharpness to that of the X100F, but superior sharpness and contrast towards the edges of the frame. Even at F5.6 and F8 the new lens out-resolves the old design across most of the frame, making the X100V more useful than the X100F for landscapes and cityscapes.

What's New. The Fuji X100F features quite a few improvements over its predecessor, the X100T, including a 24.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor, an X-Processor Pro engine, Full HD video capture, AF joystick, increased operation speed, faster maximum continuous shooting rate and swap to the NP-W126S battery. That's right, previous-generation users, the X100F dumps the NP-95 and its buggy.

Colin Nicholls 2. The Fuji X100F - Number Four. I was very lucky to get a place on a 'touch and try' day with the Fujifilm X100F, we met down in London for the morning to have a play with the new camera and a bit of a Photowalk. Armed with one of the only X100F's in the country at the time, we headed out down Oxford street.

Fujifilm X100F Review Still Great in 2023?

The Fuji X100f is the fourth iteration in the series. I had the original X100, but since then we've seen the a number of changes and additions to the design, first through an 's' model, a 't' model and now the 'f'. The series of cameras has been consistently and quite strongly representative of Fuji's reputation for listening to.

The 23mm lens on the Fuji X100F is very sharp. This is cropped in a little bit as this little guy wouldn't get any closer (I didn't have anything he wanted). The sharpness is from edge to edge as I've come to expect from Fuji optics. It's a Fujinon lens, max aperture f/2.0.

Premium Compact Camera Review Fujifilm X100F

The X100F is the fourth iteration of Fujifilm's well-respected X100 series. It still uses the same 35mm equivalent 23mm F2 lens, still has the 'classic' design cues, but almost everything has changed under the surface. Recent Videos The biggest change between the X100F and its predecessors is the move to the use of the 24MP X-Trans sensor.

The Fujifilm X100F produces excellent photos and the updated autofocus system is a great improvement. Plus, it improves on the control layout and retains the manual-optimized shooting design.

It's a great general lens, not too wide, but also not too tight. The lens is permanently attached to the camera. A 24MP APS-C sensor captures the image coming from the lens. It feels and handles like a 35mm rangefinder camera from the ide of the previous century.

The X100F still uses X-trans, but the 24MP sensor and updated processor combination is a significant step forward for the series. While in the northern parts of Oregon I switched the camera to Acros, one of my favorite JPEG modes, to try and make the most of the grey overcast conditions by adding a bit more contrast.
