I watched a video about Grell Sutcliff's gender earlier this year, but can no longer find it. It was a timeline breakdown of the tv shows and manga gendering of Grell. It also talked about Yana Toboso not having complete freedom of writing of Grell. And then Yana eventually confirmation of Grell's gender. I assume it came out just a few months ago.
