There are many reasons for that. One being that the creator won't be credited if you download their cc from another source than their own site. In Addition to that you never know if the cc folder contains faulty cc. Most of the time the cc in folder is already merged, so you can't find out what cc might be broken and from whom it is.

A simple google search will show you how to get one! after that you just place the .package files in the packages folder that is located in the "Mods" folder you made. I also suggest organizing your cc n mods! Make folders with labels, as long as the folders are in the packages folder than they should work! pwermm • 4 yr. ago Thank you!!

Other than that, there's not much Sims 3 stuff on tumblr I've noticed unfortunately, or it's really low quality "realistic" stufff. Grant Park window/door set (a huge set) by b5studios and Heritage set by Basimcly (on tumblr!) are my most used build stuff. Everything else for me comes from mass CC sprees on TSR or modthesims :)
