Rinse and repeat. I have an e92 335i with the n55 engine. I've had a HPFP failure. Other than that, the car has been great. It's not my first BMW. I don't see the direction of quality going to shit. I do not like that steering is getting lighter with every new car, but that's the nature of modern cars and cafe standards.

The culprit turned out to be bad or failing fuel pump, this was responsible for ever longer start ups, and a bad vanos solenoid. After being in the shop almost a week it was fixed and has been good ever since. My fingers are crossed since the warranty is up very soon. Other than that I'm very satisfied and would buy this car again.

I'm well aware of the HPFP and turbo issues, but I'm wondering, with 2013 being the final model year do you think they've worked out all/most of the kinks? Right now I'm debating between an E92 328i and an E92 335i with the plan to keep the car at least 5-7 years.
