And yes, the current thought is that the CX-50 hybrid will be similar to the RAV4 hybrid's tech given the collaboration between Toyota and Mazda (i.e. a strong non plug-in hybrid that gets ~40mpg combined.) The CX-50 turbo has 227HP and 256HP with premium fuel. Based on the rumor mill, I think we were all anticipating the Rav4 Hybrid powertrain to be placed in the CX-50. Since the Rav4 and the CX-50 are pretty direct rivals of each other. So the Rav4 Hybrid has a combined 219HP, which I think would have been a very good happy medium for the CX-50.

Most auto reviews rate the CX-5 as being far superior to the CX-50. I can honestly say, for being anti-SUV that's the only one I'd seriously consider purchasing.
