Needless to say, Ferrari soon thought the better of both the 2+2 concept and Bertone styling, with their 308GTB/GTS, styled by PF, of course. The Dino 308 GT4 is certainly like no other Ferrari. The new car marked several "firsts" for Maranello, although initially it only carried the Dino name. It was the first production road car with a V8 engine, and the first mid-engine 4-seater although in reality it was a 2+2.

The Dino 308 GT4 was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in October 1973. The 308 GT4 finally gained the "Prancing Horse" badge in May 1976, which replaced the Dino badges on the hood, wheels, rear panel and the steering wheel while retaining the Dino 308GT4 logo on the rear boot lid.

Initially badged as a Dino (like the 206 and 246), only those 308 GT4s built in the second phase of production from mid 1975 were equipped with Ferrari's prancing horse emblems. Chassis.
