Welcome to the forum. Rangers are popular swap material for the 4bt and there is a lot to read. If you drive sanely and don't plan on huge HP increases, the Ford/Mazda M5R2-OD is a good transmission. Reasonably light weight and has excellent gear ratios for the 4bt. If you plan to beat it up a lot then the Ford ZF-S542 would be better.
