Given the RadWagon 4 motors on backorder, and there is no warranty on a new motor, and its life expectancy (according to Rad) is only about 5000KM in Toronto's climate, it has occured to me that I might be better off getting a third party motor to replace my broken one.. (750W) and upgrade to a controller that can handle a higher current.

In stead of upgrading your current bike, you might try looking into an Aventon Adventure (400lb payload), Himiway Cobra (400 lbs), Blix Packa Genie (450lbs), <--- most recommended. If you are really averse to pedaling, then forgo entirely and look at something like a a Surron (well above $1500).

Radwagon 4 hydraulic brake upgrade We have a Radwagon 4, two kids, and live in a hilly city. Typical commute/drop-offs day is 6-8 km with ~200m of elevation gain/drop so the brakes get used a lot. The mechanical disc brakes on the Radwagon 4 are shite.
