The 4.7 is great, had it in my doublecab 05, but the 5.7 rocks. The power and 6speed tranny is perfect. Price is not that much different. Add the 600 bucks or more to change the timing chain in the 4.7, and your at half the increase to the 5.7 already. I can not see one benefit to the 4.7, although it is a great motor.
